Perfect Book for Cicerones |
|
Randy Mosher's new book, Tasting Beer, covers much of the material needed by those who aspire
to become a Certified Cicerone(tm) or beyond. Key chapters cover sensory evaluation--not for judging but for understanding and working with beer. Throughout the book, Mosher connects beer flavors to the ingredients and brewing process as well as to the things that plague beer once it leaves the brewery. Tasting Beer also covers beer presentation and the basics of pairing with food before reviewing the history and culture of key beer styles found for sale today.
Mosher is an accomplished brewer and writer with an easy-to-read and humorous style. Add to that a graphic presentation that puts eye-candy on every page and readers of all backgrounds will find Tasting Beer an engaging and rewarding read.
