As they cannot all be listed on one page, we recommend that you use the drop-down menus below to sort the content to suit your needs if this has not already been done.

Virtual Beer School

Virtual Beer School offers live, interactive “classroom-style” online courses in preparation for the Certified Beer Server and Certified Cicerone® exams. Both courses – Level 1 and Level 2 – are taught live online by award-winning beer educator and Advanced Cicerone® Natalya Watson (@beerwithnat). Enrolling multiple times throughout the year, Virtual Beer School is open to attendees from around the world, with course recordings made available for catch up if a live session is missed.

Bartenders Academy: Beer Fundamentals & Service 101

Our Beer Fundamentals course will prepare you to take the Cicerone Certified Beer Server Exam, which is the most respected beer training program internationally. This training delves into the fundamentals, the history and manufacturing, and the different types and styles of beer. SUNY Adirondack's Office of Continuing Education: Beer Server & Enthusiast Course

Learn about key aspects of beer and the beer industry for individuals working in breweries, restaurants and other areas of the hospitality industry, as well as beer enthusiasts and homebrewers! Topics will include storing and serving beer, styles, flavor, evaluation, beer ingredients and brewing processes and pairing beer with food. Craft your understanding of the culture of beer using the tools and skills of professionals and devotees!

This course is intended to help prepare participants for the Cicerone Certified Beer Server exam; however, it is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Cicerone Certification Program. (The Cicerone Certified Beer Server exam will not be administered during the course, although, participants will receive a voucher for the online exam with registration for this course.)

Rich Higgins Beer Immersions

Rich Higgins Beer Immersions are fun, deep dives into the beer styles and culture of important European beer regions. Rich is a Master Cicerone®, brewmaster, and educator, and he personally leads these trips to his favorite breweries, restaurants, and pubs. Geared toward Cicerones, professional brewers, and beer fans wanting to learn more, anyone who holds the title of Certified Beer Server or higher gets a 10% price discount!

BREW-ed

BREW-ed was started by Certified Cicerone® and professional beer educator Cliff Mori to raise public understanding of beer.  Through staff education, menu planning for restaurants and bars, beer themed private events and fun and informative brewery tours, BREW-ed is working to make craft beer drinkers as knowledgeable as they are passionate.

Tallahassee Community College: Ales, Lagers and Fermentation Course

This non-credit course, delivered online, is an introduction to Ales, Lagers and Fermentation. Students will learn about the history of beer, serving and storing beer, glassware, brewing ingredients, the brewing process, proper beer presentation, beer styles, flavors, and regions.

​This course is designed to prepare the student for the Cicerone Certified Beer Server exam. Upon successful completion of the end-of-course exam, students will be provided a certificate of completion from TCC and a voucher for the exam.

San Diego State University Professional Certificate in the Business of Craft Beer

Designed to prepare participants for success in the craft beer industry and its career pathways. Beerology®

Run by Master Cicerone® Mirella Amato, Beerology offers an off-flavour detection workshop, covering the most common off-flavours that can occur in beer, how to identify them and where they come from. The workshop takes place over the course of three evenings; it is offered by demand.
