Do Cicerone exams include beer tasting?

The Certified Beer Server exam does not include a practical tasting examination. Certified Cicerone, Advanced Cicerone, and Master Cicerone include sensory evaluations. Depending on the level, candidates may be asked to identify off-flavors, distinguish between beer styles, evaluate beer quality, create descriptive profiles, or assess whether a beer presents expected characteristics.
