Matthew Murrell

Matthew, or Murrell as he's known around Austin (pronounced "Merle," like Merle Haggard), has spent the better part of his life in the world of persuasion: first as a high school and college debater (he was a Texas high school state champion), then as a high school teacher and debate coach (he coached a Texas high school state champion), and now as an experienced attorney who focuses on litigation and conflict resolution (including helping breweries resolve the unfortunate disputes they face). Craft beer has remained a constant in Murrell's life. From his introduction to home brewing by friends in the 1990s to traveling all over the world in search of great beer, Murrell is dedicated to using his skills and love of beer to help brewers and craft beer lovers navigate their way through the three-tier system.
