Jo Abbeloos has studied brewing (theory and lab) in CVO Panta Rhei Ghent.
He also got his certification as “Technicus in fermentatieprocessen” from CVO COOVI Brussels.
He is a certified “Zytholoog” and got his certification as “Zytholoog” in 2014 at Syntra Ghent.
Jo is also a certified ‘algemene bierkenner’ from CVO Panta Rhei in Ghent.
As of Nov. 2017 Jo is holding the Cicerone certification of CERTIFIED BEER SERVER.
For more than 15 years he is member of Zythos the national Belgium beer consumer group.
He is the owner of a small 100 liter hobby brewery “Brouwerij De Belleketels”
He is an active beer blogger and owner of the web site "Met De Zytholoog Aan De Toog"

As of November 2018 Jo followed the Food & Beer Paring Master Class where he studied the BAPAS beer pairing ABC.
Jo graduated as engineer and is working for more than 30 years in the IT services business.
