Personal bio
I grew up in Greenville, South Carolina, and I have watched, and helped, the craft beer scene develop in this town since 2007. I properly fell in love with beer working for the dearly departed Barley's Taproom in Greenville, and have since owned a bottle shop (also dearly departed), run brewery tours, taught beer classes to strangers who became friends, and watched this beautiful beverage begin to take over my town and the southeast in general.
It's been a fun ride.
Beer is a wonderfully complex and ever-changing beverage, and I've learned that I'll never stop learning, or come to a point where I know everything.
I love teaching people about beer for the first time, and I love teaching people who know a ton about beer. I love being taught in the same way. I love pairing beer with food, hosting and designing beer dinners, and simply recommending pairings to people with their dinners.
I love how much more I still have to learn about beer. It's a big world, and it begs to be explored.
Come along!
