I passed my Certified Beer Server exam on March 19th of 2023 while part time working with Brick Vault Brewery and BBQ. Then on 10/31/2023 I retired from Big Bend National Park after 9 years of service. A year later I began cooking competition chili with the Chili Appreciation Society International and competed against the best chili cooks in the world at the Terlingua International Chili Championship. Periodically I still host my "Introduction to Beer Styles" tasting to introduce people to new flavor options. I am currently studying toward my Certified Cicerone certification as well as a becoming a BJCP Certified Beer Judge.
