Ryan Allen

Ryan has his Master Brewer Diploma from Siebel Institute (Chicago) & Doemans Academy (Munich, Germany). He has spent a considerable amount of time in Germany, Belgium and the Czech Republic learning first hand from Master Brewers from the best known beer regions in the world. He had intensive training in brewing, sensory training, and microbiology. Ryan is also a certified judge for the Beer Judge Certification Program, or BJCP. He has worked at breweries and brew pubs from Arkansas, Illinois and California and now owns and operates his own award winning brewery in Memphis, Tennessee with his wife and partner. In less than a year after opening, their brewery, Soul & Spirits, was awarded 9 medals in the TN Championship of Beers and won TN Brewery of the Year in 2022. He repeated that feat twice more in 2023 and 2024 becoming the first brewery in the state to achieve a 3-peat as Brewery of the Year.
