After working in food service for a number of years, I started work at a ShopRite Liquors in Byram NJ. This piqued my interest in craft beer, and I began to homebrew with a friend. By the end of my 5 year stint in retail, I had helped create one of the largest craft beer selections in Northern NJ, as well as starting the first Create-Your-Own six-pack destination in the area. As far as homebrewing goes, I am still far from a pro, but have put out quite a few tasty batches, with a Caramel Belgian Wit and Vanilla IPA being my favorites.
Fast forward to current times and I am working at NJ's first GastroPub, "Salt", and hope to increase the restaurants already large draft and bottle list.
